6/5/2005 - Sense Corp continues its community support by partnering with the St. Louis Sports Commission to coordinate the Citizenship Through Sports Alliance’s (CTSA) "Sportsmanship Weekend."

CTSA, the largest coalition of professional and amateur athletics organizations in the United States focuses on character in sport, along with the St. Louis Sports Commission, hosted a series of events celebrating sportsmanship beginning June 3rd. The weekend featured the 2005 CTSA Awards dinner at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in downtown St. Louis where seventeen of the nation’s most respected athletes and administrators were recognized including New Orleans Hornets forward P.J. Brown, Minnesota Lynx guard Teresa Edwards, St. Louis Rams wide receiver Torry Holt, Olympic gold medalist Paul Hamm, and St. Louis Blues center Doug Weight.

Along with the awards dinner, the weekend included "Good Sports Nite," where 200 students from the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club participated in fun physical activities and adults were also offered sessions on their role in athletics. The program also featured "Good Sports Day," a symposium offering youth and high school coaches, parents and administrators coaching tips from six St. Louis University head coaches.

Sense Corp’s President, Keat Wilkins, joined forces to coordinate the weekend of events with the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, a chartered member of the nation’s oldest and largest organization serving young people from disadvantaged circumstances. Also involved were St. Louis University coaches and staff along with the St. Louis Sports Commission and the CTSA.
