Sense Corp to be Presenting Sponsor of Texas 4000 For Cancer Bike Ride from Austin to Alaska
4/17/2006 - Sense Corp proudly announces it is joining forces with Texas 4000 For Cancer in an effort
to raise awareness and over a million dollars for cancer research.
The Sense Corp Texas 4000 For Cancer Ride, the world's longest annual charity
bike ride, is a 4,500 mile trek from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska, spreading
hope and knowledge about the fight against cancer across North America. The team,
consisting primarily of University of Texas students from various backgrounds and
studies, will divide into two groups one to ride along the West Coast, the other along
the Rocky Mountains. The teams will meet in Canada to finish the voyage to
Anchorage together.
The Ride is kicked off with the Sense Corp ATLAS Ride on June 3rd, a 70 mile stretch from Austin to Lampasas
concluding with a barbeque celebration and concert for all participants. The central
Texas community is invited to participate in the Sense Corp ATLAS Ride as a public
send off for the Texas 4000 Team. Registration can be completed online at
www.atlasride.com.
"It is incredibly rewarding to support these students as they ride to Alaska," explains
Keat Wilkins, President and CEO of Sense Corp. "Their determination and drive should
be an inspiration for us all and for those fighting cancer."
